5 delicious raw bars to try making at home

The recipes below are simple and tasty and easy to make at home. They require no baking and can be put together in minutes.

Raw energy bars

1 x cup dates
1 x cup sultanas
1 x cup of cashews

Blend in processor, place on a baking sheet and form a square. Cut into equal sized bars.

Raw bars with cocoa

1 x cup pine nuts or sunflower seeds
3 x tablespoons cocoa powder
2 x cups of dates

Whizz in a food processor and make into squares and pop in the fridge until set.

Raw apricot bars

1 x cup pitted dates
1 x cup apricots
1 x cup of nuts

Blend in a food processor until the ingredients clump into a ball. Roll into a square and wrap in clingfilm and chill for a couple of hours. Cut into squares.

Chocolate chip energy bars

½ cup dark chocolate chips
Pinch of salt
1 cup nuts/seeds
½ cup roughly chopped Medjool dates

Process the dates in warm water to form a paste. Add nuts and seeds and pulse and then add salt/chocolate chips. Once you have a smooth consistency, transfer to a baking sheet. Refrigerate for thirty minutes and slice into squares.

Raw peanut bars

1 cups dry roasted peanuts
1 cups Medjool dates
Pinch salt

Whizz in a processor to form a dough. Roll out on baking paper and pop in the fridge for an hour. Slice into bars and store in fridge.
