The Google Calendar is one of the most used applications on the web and one that has never had a desktop version for more unusual it may seem at times. As for design are very few updates that has received, Google Calendar is super simple and straight to the point. That is, there is plenty of room to improve in that aspect.

Clean Google Calendar is an open source project created by Stephen Firrincieli, for the simple reason that using Google calendar and loves its functionality and portability, but has never liked much as looks.

Once installed, Clean Google Calendar will add an icon to your Chrome apps page. If you click on the icon, it will open a new individual window to sign in with your Google account and start using Calendar. In the taskbar you will see a personalized calendar icon you can anchor to start the application independently whenever you want, without having to open a tab in Chrome.

This utility initially was a simple layer of customization of Stylish to modify as the web looked, but Stephen decided to pack it as an extension after seeing the results. If you want you can see the source code on GitHub.
