All About Male Pattern Baldness

Male-pattern baldness is an inherited disorder which is also sometimes referred to as pattern baldness, androgenic alopecia. It’s the most prevalent form of male baldness seen today and affects almost all men eventually, whether or not they age; though Caucasian males are much more prone to it than other races. It’s estimated that anywhere between 4% and 13% of men have some level of this condition. It’s usually genetic, but it can also be caused by: stress, medications, excessive bathing with harsh soaps, extreme dieting, and illness such as thyroid or stress. In some cases medication may be used to help the hair loss and in other instances Scalp Micropigmentation from companies such as His Hair Clinic will help to improve the aesthetic look of the area.

The primary symptom of male-pattern baldness is receding hairline, which is typically found on the top of the head only, but can also be found on the sides or crown. This can lead to a number of problems, especially if it gets severe enough. One of the issues with a receding hairline is that it makes it difficult to comb or brush out your hair, since there isn’t much room. This is where male-pattern baldness can get serious and cause your hair to fall out completely. Other symptoms include hair thinning or lack of density, hair breaking off at the roots, and the thinning or disappearance of all hair.

Some forms of male baldness, such as completely balding, don’t necessarily require medical treatment. Typically you just need to grow out your hairline a bit. There are a number of creams, lotions, and other products on the market today that can help you grow out your hairline and avoid balding. Male-pattern baldness can also be treated in a number of different ways, including surgical procedures or medication. No matter what type of baldness you have, there’s always hope for a cure.
